Akemi Coffee Boost ingredient list

Akemi Coffee Boost relies on seven ingredients that fall into three groups: plant extracts for metabolism, extracts that target carbs, and fiber for fullness. Each sachet contains 2 grams of powder.

IngredientWhat it's there for
Green coffee bean extractchlorogenic acid, natural caffeine
Green tea extractcatechins (EGCG)
L-carnitinecarries fatty acids into the mitochondria
White kidney bean extractphaseolamin, starch blocker
Mulberry leaf extractDNJ, post-meal blood sugar
Resistant dextrinsoluble fiber, fullness
Psyllium huskbulking fiber, fullness, digestion

You'll find the exact amounts per sachet on the box. The roles listed are based on the brand's information and the general research on each ingredient.

Each ingredient explained

Green coffee bean extract

Green coffee beans are unroasted and contain far more chlorogenic acid than roasted coffee. Research on chlorogenic acid focuses mainly on how it affects glucose absorption in the gut. Some reviews found a modest effect on body weight, though results are mixed. The extract also provides Akemi's natural caffeine.

Green tea extract

Green tea contains catechins, above all EGCG. Together with caffeine, they're studied for whether they slightly raise energy expenditure and fat burning. Green tea extract is one of the most widely used plant ingredients in weight-management products.

L-carnitine

Your body makes L-carnitine itself, and you also get it from meat and dairy. Its job is to carry long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are burned for energy. That's why the Akemi box puts it front and center: “with L-Carnitine”.

White kidney bean extract

The extract from white kidney beans contains phaseolamin, a natural inhibitor of the enzyme alpha-amylase, which breaks starch down into sugar. When it's slowed down, part of the starch passes through undigested. Hence the nickname “carb blocker”.

Mulberry leaf extract

Mulberry leaves contain 1-deoxynojirimycin, or DNJ. It's studied for how much blood sugar rises after a carb-rich meal. Steadier blood sugar often also means fewer cravings.

Resistant dextrin

A soluble fiber, usually made from corn or wheat. It's flavorless and dissolves clear, which makes it ideal for a powder that shouldn't be noticed in coffee. Fiber slows stomach emptying and contributes to feeling full.

Psyllium husk

The classic bulking fiber. Psyllium absorbs many times its weight in water, adds volume in the stomach and supports regular digestion.

How much caffeine is in Akemi Coffee Boost?

According to the brand, each sachet contains about 30 mg of natural caffeine from green coffee bean extract. For comparison, an 8 oz cup of brewed coffee has around 80 to 100 mg and a shot of espresso about 60 mg. The FDA considers up to 400 mg a day generally safe for healthy adults, so Akemi in your morning coffee keeps you comfortably below that with one to three cups a day.

Does Akemi Coffee Boost have side effects?

The ingredients are known to be well tolerated in normal amounts. Still, it's worth knowing these points:

  • Fiber: if you don't usually eat much fiber, you may notice bloating or a full feeling at first. Drink enough water and it usually settles within a few days.
  • Caffeine: if you're sensitive, you may feel restless or sleep worse. Take Akemi in the morning rather than late afternoon.
  • Medication: psyllium can delay the absorption of medication. If in doubt, leave two hours between them and talk to your doctor.

Important notes

Akemi Coffee Boost is a dietary supplement. Don't exceed the recommended daily serving of one sachet. Not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children or anyone under 18. If you have a medical condition, take medication or have diabetes, consult your doctor before use. Keep out of reach of children.

Our verdict on the ingredients

Akemi's formula is well thought out: it combines familiar metabolism ingredients with extracts that target carbs and two fibers for fullness. Nothing exotic, everything openly declared, and that builds trust.
